Pennywhistles
Pennywhistles
Watch history come to life for the littlest learners in our Pennywhistles tour as they gallop down the path on stick horses.
This special 90-minute guided program for children in Pre-K through Second Grade will immerse them in early Texas life at the original Jourdan-Bachman homestead. There, they will learn about the life of Texas farmers and the animals and plants they raised, in addition to exploring a 19th century home and a stop at the village smithy.
DAYS: Tuesday through Friday, June through August, by advance reservation. A minimum of 30 people (students, teachers and chaperones) is required.
FEE: $8 per student/teacher/chaperone. Open to summer schools and camps, and Pre-K centers. No refunds are allowed once reservations are made.
TIME: 90 minutes (Opportunity for additional self-guided exploration following the tour)
