Basic Weaving
Learn the warps and wefts of weaving, in this introductory class to weaving, the historic production of fabric. This class offers the basics so that you can leave with a hankering to weave. When the class ends, you should know the difference between shedding, picking and battening — and get rolling on your first project.
Taught at the 1886 Bell Farm’s spinning room in February and July from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (4 hours). $60 per student. Materials provided. Dress for the weather on class day. Bring a bottler of water.
No refunds are allowed once the enrollment fee is received. Students who cannot attend a class for whatever reason may reschedule once, on a space-available basis, but must notify us in writing before the class begins at info@pioneerfarms.org. No exceptions.
