Plein Air On The Prairie
Plein Air On The Prairie
In this relaxing and enjoyable paint-along class for all ages, participants will have the opportunity to paint alongside noted Austin teacher and painter Emma Lea Mayton, as she guides beginners and masters alike through a painting session on the prairie.
This one-of-a-kind experience combines serene scenes from the farm with storytelling and historical interpretation focused both on the pioneer experience and painting. Participants will feel as they are being whisked away on an artistic journey through time all while working to create a one of a kind prairie painting. Participants may paint, draw, create in any media they choose as they will be working from the comfort of home, but an optional supply list is available upon request with all the supplies that Emma Lea will be using.
Taught on Saturdays to be determined from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (3 hours). $50 per student. Materials provided or you may bring your own. Enrollment is required no less than a week before the class date. All enrollments are subject to availability.
No refunds are allowed once the enrollment fee is received. Students who cannot attend a class for whatever reason may reschedule once, on a space-available basis, but must notify us in writing before the class begins at info@pioneerfarms.org. No exceptions.
