Shuttle Tatting
Shuttle Tatting
A beginner’s class on this earliest method of creating tatted lace taught by our resident expert. Tatting is a technique for handcrafting a particularly durable lace from a series of knots and loops. A shuttle facilitates tatting by holding a length of thread and guiding it through loops to make the requisite knots. Tatting can be used to make lace edging as well as doilies, collars and accessories such as earrings and necklaces.
Taught in November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (4 hours) at our 1886 Bell Farm’s Spinning Room. $55 per student. Materials provided. Dress for the weather on class day. Bring a bottle of water.
All enrollments must be completed at least one week in advance.
No refunds are allowed once the enrollment fee is received. Students who cannot attend a class for whatever reason may reschedule once, on a space-available basis, but must notify us in writing before the class begins at info@pioneerfarms.org. No exceptions.
