For hundreds of years after the spinning wheel was invented in the 11th century, this talent was a staple of home life — and the Texas frontier was no exception. Almost every home had a spinning wheel that turned the cotton and wool into thread and yarn. Come commune with history and learn time-honored skill that now hip again. Students will need to bring their own wheel.

ONSITE: Hands-on class. Taught upon request from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Classes must have 2 students to make.
