Jen's Gentle Yoga

$10.00

Jen Meigs, an accredited instructor in the ancient discipline that came to the United States in the late 1800s, will teach the classes in our quaint town square. Bring your mats and water bottles, and come prepared to practice this popular exercise regimen amid Texas history.

These classes are suitable for all shapes, sizes and experience levels. Beginners are welcome! Students will link gentle movements with breathing techniques to build strength, flexibility, balance, and mental focus. Each class ends with guided meditation and deep relaxation.

Meigs has more than 15 years’ experience practicing and teaching yoga to students of all ages, abilities, shapes, and sizes. As a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (RYT-500), she specializes in adaptive yoga for stress-relief, including chair yoga, and is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader. Jen brings a light-hearted, gentle approach to each class, encouraging students to enjoy a sense of play and self-discovery.

In addition to Pioneer Farms, she currently teaches weekly classes to seniors at Sun City and Legacy Assisted Living, as well as to teenagers in Southwestern University’s Upward Bound program. When she’s not teaching yoga, Jen is a blacksmith apprentice and volunteer at Pioneer Farms.

ONSITE: On-Mat Class.  Taught the second Saturday of each month January to December from 9-10 a.m. (1 hour) in our Sprinkle Corner Town Square or in our dance hall. $10 per student. Students should bring a mat and a bottle of water.
